Ha Bui is a golf fitness professional with TPI / Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Instructor, NSCA-CPT, CSCS and MAT (Muscle Activation Techniques) Jumpstart Certifications. As a MAT jumpstart practitioner, she’s able to perform a precise series of positional muscle strength tests.  Once she identifies any muscular imbalances throughout the body, she then uses specific light isometrics exercises to jumpstart and restore contractile capabilities in the muscles.  This will increase stability in the muscles which in return increase range of motion (flexibility) in the joints, and increase physical golf performance.

She had been in the fitness industry for 14 years covering most of the Edmond and Oklahoma City, OK metro areas. During her fitness career she has coached basketball, taught kickboxing, boot camp, and TPI Golf Fitness classes.  Over the years she has worked with hundreds of clients specializing with fat and weight loss, muscle tone and muscle gain, strength and conditioning, corrective exercises, core and flexibility, postural alignment, balance training, injury prevention, and post rehab workouts.  She has previously worked as a personal trainer at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club Fitness Center for 2 years, then was the owner & operator of Fitness Together in Downtown OKC for almost 5 years.  She then sought out the opportunity to become the Fitness Director at Gaillardia Country Club, before finally stepping down to fully focus on her golf fitness business at Gaillardia.  During her tenure in these positions she has trained golfers, boxers, martial artists, soccer players, tennis players, basketball players, football players, figure skaters, equestrian athletes and more. She has coached and worked with a wide range of clients from die hard workout fanatics to clients who just want to look and feel better.

During her spare time she loves to play golf and practice martial arts.  She is currently training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo and Jeet Kune Do (the martial art that Bruce Lee created).  She uses her long time experience in sports and martial arts to apply some of those elements to simplify the body mechanics of the golf swing.  Ha loves everything about fitness and she naturally thinks about fitness on a daily basis. She went into the golf fitness field because she’s passionate about changing people’s lives and their golf game.  She gives her best and 100% to every client who wants to improve on their health and golf game.

Ha graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science & Minor in Coaching from Southern Nazarene University in 2000.  She has played collegiate basketball and tennis at Southern Nazarene University. In 1999 and 2000, she was the member of the Final Four Women’s Basketball team.  A few years later, she has played semi-pro basketball for 2 years in Dallas and Oklahoma City.

She is also working towards becoming certified as a Resistance Training Specialist (RTS) which is one of the highest accredited education and certification offered in the fitness industry.  RTS is an advanced training discipline for the exercise professional that goes through an extensive exercise science and biomechanics education to help recognize many hidden factors involving individual muscle and joint structure, muscle mechanics and internal and external forces influencing the body. With all her acquired knowledge and skill sets, this has helped her to be able to maximize your golf exercises with the most simple but safe and effective approach.
She is available for private and small group training sessions. For more information or to schedule an appointment, go to www.golfswingfittips.com/contact  today!
